@igalflint this isnt for top shape, its for getting tone. which technically is getting in top shape, like what is said below toning muscles does STRENGTHEN them. and i do MMA and we i do isometrics as a training routine so dont even give me that “look what is needed for a heavy weight boxer to be in top shape for a fight” bullshit because ALL FIGHTERS DO ISOMETRICS. whether its boxing or MMA
and the way someone looks has nothing to do with the physical shape they are actually in.
GO AIR FORCE!
they wrestle with each other and move in deed; changing their position and the vertice of force. the principle of two oponents pushing against each other is seen in many aspects of Animal Nature as in greek roman wrestle style and in Jiu-Jitsu as well
top shape does not come from a 5 min. a day workout.look what is needed for a havey wheight boxer to do in order to be in top shape for a world title fight! or for a decathlete!5 minutes a day for top shape? no way!is the guy in the video in a top shape?is he?
How long you hold and how often you repeat the exercises is a matter of preference really – your working against yourself with each muscle group – the longer you hold – even to fatigue- will result in faster results – these are designed to tone not build muscle mass..
I been doing this isometric exercise…i usually hold for 15 secs..but how many reps should you do or how many times a day? i was thinking 3 times a day
Very useful! Thanks!
No – it wont BUILD it will TONE – muscle building comes from breakdown and rebuilding of muscle tissue – toning increases strength through continual use of the muscle – not sure where you heard 30 seconds – according to those who developed this series for the Canadien AF, 10 is sufficient
yeah but will it build muscle, and i heard u have to hold for 30 secs?
You can perform the exercises as much and as often as you want – Isometrics are by their nature a toning exercise designed to develop strength through tone. You can only provide as much resistance as your body can provide against itself. So how much you do and how often is really up to you
Interesting video.. I’ve lifted weights forthe last ten years and recently have been experiencing back problems wjen training. Not been to the gym for 6 weeks as a result. this type of traning may help me get back to it. do you only do one set of each exercise per workout? and you can do this more than once a day?
Yes, that is why bruce lee was very light, but very strong. Look at tigers, do you ever see the with weights? No. They wrestle with each other wich is two objects pushing together with full force, but not moving.
Im not sure what your definition of “top shape” is but it is a complete body workout that is designed to tone your entire body utilizing your own resistance. This makes it easy for anyone to start, is fast, easy and as you tone and grow stronger, your resistance naturally increases. Its not designed to build large muscles but to tone – which helps you naturally lose weight over time and improves your posture. Very effective if done regularly and you dont need weight, diets or a gym
Dos this really cover a full complete workout? Just 5mins a day and can get back into tip top shape? is it really that simple or am I missing something?
This is an excellent video. Do not be fooled by its simplicity. I have been using the exact exercises in this video for the past 3 months now. As a result I am much stronger and a whole lot more defined.
